Clinical Team Secretary

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a motivated and experienced Administrative Assistant to join our busy Crisis Team to cover a maternity leave. You must have excellent organisational skills, have a flexible approach, be able to work on your own initiative and be a team player.

The main responsibilities of the role will be dealing with incoming phone calls and providing general administrative support to the team. Excellent communication and customer care skills are essential as well as the necessity to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Applicants must have a good education, sound IT knowledge and experience, with competency in Microsoft Office packages being essential. Experience of working in a clinical area is desirable. The ability to communicate effectively with patients who may experience communication difficulties are essential requirements of the role. Also required is an organised and flexible approach to work, good team working skills, the willingness to perform repetitive tasks accurately and to remain calm under pressure.

Applicants should hold NVQ level 3 in Business & Administration, or have a willingness to work towards the award.

There may be a requirement to occasionally work some Saturdays in the future.
