We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic clinical trainer to join the Clinical Education Team. This Band 7 full-time 6 month post will be part of the wider Workforce and Organisational Development Team. The main aim of the role is to support the organisation with the rapid clinical training, preparation and support that staff require at pace in response to the current ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The role will be jointly responsible for leading the delivery of the All Wales HCSW Clinical Induction within Powys Teaching Health Board for all newly employed HCSWs joining the organisation. You will be required to deliver clinical skills training that staff need to meet the strategic objective of developing a competent and effective clinical workforce with appropriate levels of skills to meet both the present and future service requirements. Specifically, the post holder will be jointly responsible for the operational delivery of all aspects of clinical skills and education programme delivery required as a result of the pandemic.
The post holder will be a registered clinician (nurse/ paramedic/ medic) holding current, active registration with the United Kingdom Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Health Care Professions Council or the General Medical Council; hold a teaching qualification at level 3 or above, and have experience and competency in delivering clinical skills training.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, have the ability to work under pressure and at pace and have a flexible approach with the ambition to support and develop the clinical skills and education programme required in line with the current training demands.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
