You will be accountable to the General Manager for the management and control of the Sector resources and for ensuring that service provision is underpinned by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde values and a culture of person-centred care. You will achieve business performance objectives within quality standards (e.g. ensure that performance targets are achieved such as agreed waiting list and time targets) and contribute to the corporate management of Acute Services through the Sector Management Team. You will also provide operational support to the General Manager in the efficient and effective delivery of all services across the Sector.
This post will also have a Lead CSM role for the Gartnavel site providing senior leadership to support the staff and the services on site. This post will be pivotal in the redevelopment of the Gartnavel Campus. It is essential you have a relevant Degree or equivalent Management Qualification with substantial management experience within a large complex environment, preferably within NHS. A good understanding of the key strategic issues facing the NHS in Scotland and within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, with the ability to translate that understanding into planning/determining the future direction of the service would be beneficial.
The hours of this post are worked Monday to Friday.
