We are offering an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified and experienced clinical psychologists to join our multi-disciplinary service. We see children and young people from 0 to 18 years and their families and offer a range of interventions. The referrals to the service are diverse demanding different levels of intervention including complex multi-agency input. In addition to the Core-CAMHS team there are other specialist roles in LAAC, Paediatrics, Early Intervention and Learning Disabilities and opportunities to provide supervision and consultation to other services, such as Family Nurse Partnership, Early Intervention etc. In addition to providing direct clinical care to complex cases, the post holder will be required to provide support to the Head of Child and Family Clinical Psychology, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and wider CAMHS and psychology management structure to ensure that the clinical psychology service is delivered in accordance with best practice standards. This will include supporting the development and delivery of psychological interventions and psychological therapies strategy across the whole service as well as advising on appropriate measures, modalities and service evaluation. There will also be a key role in staff and clinical and governance.

Experience of working with children and young people with complex problems will be required as is experience of working with partner agencies influencing practice with the aim of improving access to psychological therapies.

NHS Forth Valley CAMHS is characterised by a team dedicated to providing best practice in CAMHS. We have a varied in-house programme of supervision and CPD and there are opportunities for external training. We also have very good links with partner agencies and national bodies. We have well-appointed premises across Falkirk and Stirling and a highly efficient administrative and secretarial team.
