MSI Group are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual interested in working with older people and their families in Northumberland. You will be working as part of a Community Treatment Team providing psychological assessment, formulation and interventions as well as neuropsychological assessment. The role will involve liaising closely with psychiatry colleagues, colleagues in the CTT, care staff in residential and nursing homes, hospital based services, primary care teams and voluntary services.
The post provides substantial scope and opportunities for developing special interests in teaching/training, clinical supervision, research as well as involvement in service development. The Psychological Services Network is friendly and supportive. There is a thriving network of clinicians providing services to older people within Northumberland, Tyne and Wear Trust and a very active local FPOP branch. Additionally, we have close links with the Newcastle upon Tyne and Teesside Doctorate training courses, and regularly have Trainees on placement as well as contributing to the course teaching.
This is a locum post, working 2 days per week for a minimum of 3 months.
