Clinical Operations Manager - Northamptonshire

An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Operations Manager (COM) within Northamptonshire.

To apply for this role you must be an HCPC state registered paramedic with current registration.

Reporting directly to the Duty Operations Manager (DOM), the COM is responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day management and service delivery of a defined team. The COM is responsible for the supervision and management of a team of Accident and Emergency (A&E) Operational staff and for ensuring the achievement of national performance targets and patient quality standards are met and upheld within their area of responsibility.

The COM is responsible for the management of the station and for carrying out people management responsibilities for all team staffing issues at the local level, supporting other COMs within their locality on all aspects of people management.

The post holder will ensure that the locally devolved arrangements for A&E service delivery, financial management, human resources, business continuity, resilience and preparedness and local team communications operate effectively and meet the standards and targets agreed by the Divisional Director.

  • Complaints resolution targets
  • Staff governance.

The COM will respond operationally in accordance with professional codes of conduct and Trust Policies and Procedures, undertaking the supervision of incidents in accordance with the COM Deployment Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

The COM will act as Bronze Commander as required at scene. The COM will also be required to complete the full AIT training as part of the role within 6 months of appointment.
