Salary: £39,000- £48,000 per annum / £20.00 - £24.61 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week.
Bonus: Annual bonus provided.
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 Hours

Further Details about the role I am looking to recruit a Clinical Nurse Specialist who has extensive skills, knowledge and experience within Colorectal. The successful applicant will be expected to provide specialised Colorectal Nurse-led services complementary to the Consultant Colorectal Surgeon for Colorectal patients commensurate with national policy and Hospital strategy. To facilitate the provision of a coordinated, high quality Colorectal service (patient journey) by working collaboratively with the Colorectal surgeons, physiotherapist, theatre team and other members of the multidisciplinary team. To undertake clinical audit and research under the direction of the Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and have a commitment to improving practice based on research findings. For this position you will deliver formal and informal education programs for patients, carers, post graduate nurses, undergraduate nurses and professions allied to medicine. As a CNS within Colorectal you will be required to assess Colorectal patients pre-operatively together with the (POA) team and physiotherapists regarding Colorectal surgery POA, to ensure current best practice guidelines are followed to prepare patients for Colorectal surgery. You will provide the patient with comprehensive information regarding surgical procedures, ensuring informed consent. You will liaise with Colorectal surgery consultants to ensure their protocols/ guidelines are in place and implemented.
Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this Clinical Nurse Specialist - Colorectal opportunity to confident, proactive and demonstrate a desire to improve on their existing skill base to add value to the department. You will will be an experienced Colorectal CNS or Stoma CNS, an expert practitioner able to lead and organise complex care across multi-professions. You will enjoy working as part of a small multidisciplinary team providing an excellent service for our patients and surgeons. You will show individual drive and initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision Current NMC Registration without restrictions is a must without restrictions.
