We are looking for a fantastic Leader, to help shape and develop Cygnet Hospital Taunton which is a 46 bed hospital and part of the UK's leading mental health care provider.
The hospital is a specialist and quite unique in patient service for older adults with complex mental and physical health needs. To enable us to deliver a service that supports assessment, treatment and transition, as well as longer term care pathways, we have a diverse team of clinical professionals.

We are now looking for a registered nurse with experience in older adult’s mental health as well as extensive middle management experience to provide clinical and managerial leadership for our nursing and clinical services at the hospital.

You will be expected to support the Hospital Manager in delivering a specialist, high quality service with a proactive role within the governance systems of the hospital.

As a senior member of the Hospital Management Team you will be responsible for the clinical management of the current wards. You will provide direction and support to the ward managers as well as managing the accompanying budgets and service contracts. Evidence of managing change, demonstrating effective leadership and experience of motivating and developing others will be important attributes for any successful candidate.

From you, we’ll need commitment and drive to provide the highest quality of care. Interpersonal skills are essential for this post, as you’ll be working within a tight-knit team and liaising with a wide variety of people. A knowledge of, and interest in, the mentoring of students and supervision and appraisal processes is also essential.
