We are looking for a highly motivated, forward thinking and enthusiastic clinical lead to join our ward team. The successful applicant will be based on Fendrod Ward, Cefn Coed Hospital which is a busy 20 bedded acute admission ward which supports men who are experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties and who require a high level of therapeutic intervention.
The multi-disciplinary ward teams work in collaboration with the local Community Mental Health Teams. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly skilled nurse to provide leadership for this ward. The post offers excellent opportunities to develop leadership and professional interests in order to support the ward manager in shaping the vision for the ward.
This role includes the supervision of clinical skills as part of high quality service delivery for our service users. Provides specialist advice for the care of people affected by mental health problems. Working within a clinical team, with a specific focus on quality improvement, and ensuring excellence is achieved and maintained continuously.
The post holder will have clinical responsibility for the assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programs of care, which will enhance and maintain the quality of life for patients and their families/ carers.
The post holder will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the team. Working alongside other professionals to provide and develop high quality care, including the co-ordination and deployment of resources both in financial and manpower terms allocated to the ward. The clinical lead will be expected to cover 'bronze duty' when required which includes being the point of contact for MH & LD units on or near the Cefn Coed Hospital site.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
