Eclypse Recruitment are looking to recruit a Unit Lead for a nursing home in Ripley, Derby.
The home is a specialist nurse-led home for adults with complex needs. Making every day better is about achieving the best possible outcomes for service users at the home. Together with family members and other professionals, staff build care and activity plans around individuals to support, nurture and encourage them to live happy, fulfilled lives. The home has two units - Wren and Robin, each with ten bedrooms, a lounge and a dining room. Bedrooms can be decorated to suit personal tastes and each have an accessible en-suite wet room and a television point. There is also choice of comfortable lounges and quiet areas. All service users have access to a sensory room, designed to develop a person's senses through special lighting, music and objects. Our client understands the importance of healthy, nutritious food. The varied restaurant style dining menu is developed with service users at regular Food Forums to ensure personal preferences and condition-specific dietary requirements are catered for. They specialize in using food moulds to make pureed food appetizing and delicious for those with swallowing difficulties. Social activities, leisure interests and hobbies are all part of a healthy, balanced life at the home. Activity staff and service users work together to create meaningful and fun plans. As well as group activities, staff facilitate individual hobbies and interests and where appropriate, support to access education and volunteering. An accessible vehicle means there is always transport available for these trips.
Our client is looking for a Clinical Lead to work 42 hours per week, at £16.28 per hour but this will increase in April. You will do 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next week. Our client will pay for the DBS check and pay double time for bank holidays.
We are looking for a client with the following skills and qualifications: -
Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN)
Active NMC PIN
The Clinical Lead Nurse will play a key part in the daily running of the home, working closely with the Home Manager, ensuring that the home runs effectively and efficiently and that the care provided is of the highest quality. There will, of course, be times when you have to roll up your sleeves and deliver hands-on nursing and personal care but that's the nature of the job, and it keeps your skills up to date.
- Working with the MDT to ensure that care provided is appropriate and relevant to the individual's care package
- Participating in pre-admission assessments, assessing client care requirements
- Provide safe and effective processes for the ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal of drugs
- Formulation and review of support plans
- Positively promote the home
- Participate in an on-call system to support the nurse in charge
- Participate in recruitment and supervision of staff
- Promoting choice, independence, dignity and respect
