An exciting opportunity is available, for a clinician with both clinical and leadership experience, to take up the role of Clinical Lead Paediatric Physiotherapist in Swansea Bay UHB. The post holder will provide leadership to the acute and community based Paediatric Physiotherapy teams across the Swansea Bay region including teams based at Morriston Hopsital, Hafan Y Mor Childrens Centre Singleton and Neath Port Talbot Childrens Centre.
You will join a forward thinking and dynamic team, led by the Head of Physiotherapy and will be directly accountable to the Strategic Physiotherapy Manager for Primary and Community Physiotherapy services. You will contribute to the Senior Physiotherapy Leadership team and specifically take responsibility for the service delivery, operational and workforce management and clinical governance of the Paediatric Physiotherapy service.
We are looking for candidates with significant clinical experience in Paediatric Physiotherapy, knowledge of leadership approaches and motivation to continue their own leadership development whilst encouraging the development of others.
We work closely with our medical and AHP colleagues and partnership agencies, including special and mainstream schools and are working collaboratively to embed therapy intervention in an effective and integrated way. We are engaged in the training and education of other agencies and facilitate a culture of learning and development at every level within our team. The Paediatric Physiotherapy service continually strives for improvement and is imaginative and innovative in its ideas around service delivery. Swansea Bay UHB has two Consultant Physiotherapists, who are leading key research and clinical developments in their fields and support others with an interest in this area.
We have long established links with Cardiff University, for undergrad and post- grad Physio education, including the provision of student placements. We have excellent opportunities for developing your own career and portfolio including local links with Swansea University to access post grad courses.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
