Work as a Clinical Lead Nurse for a well-established, private healthcare provider with twelve Nursing Homes in the South of England.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a large nursing home in the Epsom area of Surrey. The Home is compliant with CQC and has a rating overall as 'Good'.
We are looking for an experienced RGN or RMN Registered Nurse to work as Clinical Lead Nurse.
The task of the Home's Lead Nurse is to support the Care Home Manager in ensuring that the Home provides the best nursing care in the area, focused to the role of the modern care facility to work with care in the community, and leading a team committed to client-related services.
To work as Lead Nurse, you will be a qualified level 1 Registered Nurse in charge of the Nursing Section of the Home and a qualified level 1 Registered Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse in charge of the Dementia Care Nursing Section of the home.
In the absence of the Care Home Manager, the Lead Nurse will be expected to maintain the general day-to-day running of the Home, working alongside the Administration Manager. He/she will be expected to provide continuity of care, laid down by the procedures operating within the Home, and be available to offer support and advice to all other members of staff, Residents and relatives.
The Lead Nurse in Charge will also be supported by the Home Manager, whenever required, in relation to:
- Initiation of staff training
- Staff induction
- Supervision and verification of staff training, including attainment of NVQ
- Care practices
- Maintaining an objective stance in relation to the whole Home
- Identifying opportunities for improving services, systems and procedures by the most cost-effective means.
- Active involvement in the marketing of the home and maintaining occupancy at the fee level set for the home.
This is a full time, permanent position working 42 hours a week. The role is part hands on nursing and part supernumery and the salary is at a highly competitive £19 per hour. The annual salary is circa £40,000 - £42,000
The shifts are long days from 8am-8pm, or shorter shifts 8am-2.15pm or 2.15pm-8.15pm on a rota.
