TO APPLY PLEASE ENSURE YOU ONLY DOWNLOAD, COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE JOB PACK AVAILABLE FROM Applications are invited for a post in Respiratory Medicine at CMT2/ST2 level, or above, based in the Pleural Diseases Unit at the new Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH). Candidates would preferably be in possession of MRCP (UK) or equivalent, and have appropriate experience in General and Respiratory Medicine. This should ideally include competence in basic pleural procedures and thoracic ultrasound assessment. However, these are not essential requirements and training will be provided in post. We would welcome applications from doctors looking for 2 years research break to consolidate their training. This post will commence as soon as possible and is outside the MTAS process. Funding is available for a period of two years however shorter-term appointments may be considered. The Pleural Disease Unit provides specialist pleural services including Thoracoscopy and insertion and management of Indwelling Pleural Catheters, and accepts referrals from across the West of Scotland. In addition to specialist duties within the Pleural Disease Unit you will be involved in providing general respiratory input to inpatients at QEUH and have the opportunity to train in Pleural Disease and advanced pleural procedures, including Thoracoscopy.
