Clinical Fellow in Critical Care

These posts are available from August 2020 based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with a tenure of 1 year. This post is aimed at any doctors who have completed foundation programme and are considering a career in anaesthesia/critical care or have completed core training and are looking for something different prior to the next stage of their career.

Health services across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde have undergone a radical transformation to meet the changing needs of the population. In 2015, the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital opened at the Southern General Hospital site. This is a flagship Scottish Government project and incorporated the services from the Victoria Infirmary, Southern General Hospital, and Western Infirmary. The new hospital has a 20 bedded Intensive Care Unit and further 39 High Dependency Beds.

In addition, the new Glasgow Children’s Hospital is co-located on site and this facility works closely with the recently opened Maternity hospital. Therefore the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital is not only the largest hospital campus in Glasgow but one of the most modern and cutting edge locations for medical care in Scotland.

Applicants must have full GMC Registration and a license to practise.
