The posts will be based at University Hospital Wishaw and the successful candidate will join the enthusiastic General Surgical Team comprising eight Consultant General Surgeons, 4 Breast Surgeons and four other Specialty Grade Doctors to provide General Surgical Services to Wishaw General Hospital. NHS Lanarkshire is constantly reviewing its rotas to maintain New Deal compliance together with the new arrangements that will be required by Scottish Medical Training (SMT). Rotas therefore, may be subject to change.

NHS Lanarkshire has excellent post-graduate libraries and IT facilities. Active post-graduate educational programmes are in place, including dedicated protected teaching sessions for junior doctors.

These posts are open primarily to applicants who do not require a Tier 2 to take up employment in the UK. Any applications from applicants who do require a Tier 2 will be considered only if no suitable UK or EEA national is identified for the post
