This 37.5 hours post porvides an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and enthusiastic newly formed Practice Development Team. The Team supports all staff and learners across the system within Cumbria and the successful candidate will be a crucial part of this evolving new team. This is a twelve month fixed term post to support the implementation of the new NMC standards for education and training.

The clinical practice educator will work collaboratively with the senior nurses throughout the organisation to support delivery of effective, high quality and safe patient centred care. She/he will lead the continuing education, training and professional development for the nursing staff to promote the acquisition of new skills and knowledge. She/he will develop and drive forward an education programme to ensure that nursing staff acquire the professional standards and competencies when caring for people. Promote reflective practice, clinical supervision and experiential learning opportunities whilst developing a learning culture.

The hours offered are 37.5, Monday- Friday, 9am - 5pm; On occasion there will be a requirement to work nights and weekends to support all staff.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4.20 = deducted at £10.20 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 2 months.

Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.20 = £15.20 deducted from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
