Clinical Administrator for Head of Psychology and Consultant Medical Psychotherapist (Band 4, 1.0 WTE)
Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an experienced and self-motivated senior administrator to provide essential secretarial and administrative support to the Head of Psychology and the Consultant Medical Psychotherapist.
The role will include managing the electronic diaries of the senior clinicians as well as arranging meetings and clinical appointments, and booking rooms and venues for these as needed. For some meetings, you would be required to take minutes as part of the role. You would also be required to maintain key electronic systems such as staff rostering and requisitions.
Overall, you would act as a point of contact for Psychological therapies as a whole, both with internal and external staff and professional contacts as well as with patients and relatives. We are therefore looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, both in person, and on the telephone.
We believe that psychological approaches have an essential part to play in the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services in NHFT. We are also committed to supporting our staff and providing them with the chance to develop in their roles and to feel that they are included in the delivery of high quality care and services. This role provides essential support to these two lead professionals and as such would be very much part of the team in delivering high quality psychological interventions in NHFT.
We are looking for a candidate who is well-organised, pro-active, and able to deal with a wide range of people when liaising to setup a variety of meetings and appointments. The ability to manage electronic systems is essential, and it would be an advantage to have had experience of helping to manage a busy diary and time commitments on behalf of others.
Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification for further information about this exciting opportunity.
The post- holder will be based at Newland House, Northampton and will also be required to travel to various other destinations across Northamptonshire on occasion. There would be opportunities to work remotely and flexibly, especially in the current circumstances relating to COVID-19.
