The Rail Key Account Manager is the first point of contact for 'The Client’ in their region and establishes a good working relationship to ensure that they are happy with our handling of the contract. The Rail KAM manages the flow of the paperwork and communication between the client, the relevant Rail Contracts Managers and Head Office. The Rail KAM reports to the Senior Key Account Manager and will support Regional Rail Contracts Managers.
Duties will include:
Providing a first line of contact for the client, competently dealing with any issues which may arise and directing queries to those who need to be involved. In doing so, this will include:
·Answering all queries from clients and operations staff via phone, e mail and post
·Creating Purchase Orders for Field Teams and suppliers e.g. plant & materials
·Ordering hire equipment, arranging machinery repairs/payments
·Assist relevant administrators with regard to training and PPE for the region
·Arranging for Traffic Management for sites
·Receipt of site documentation from teams, including timesheets, client paperwork
·Reporting progress and completion of jobs to Client
·Setting up new contracts on the accounts system
·Assist the Rail Commercial Team with applications for payment and supporting information
·Allocate payments to contracts and advise HO Accounts
·Ensuring that the Client’s Key Performance Indicators are met and exceeded
·Interfacing with Network Rail and Delivery units
Other tasks as set and deemed appropriate by the Senior Manager for your region
