Role: Client Relationship Manager (energy mid-market)

Location: London

Salary: £40k DOE + commission

Do you have 3+ years’ experience of selling and account managing energy procurement products to mid-market customers? The Client Relationship Manager is a pivotal new role to land new clients and, once established, maximise cross and upsell opportunities. The Client Relationship Manager is an office based role with trips out to see customers as required, and is a mixture of sales and account management. If you have experience with mid-market energy sales both in the UK and ideally internationally, then the Client Relationship Manager could be the role you are looking for!!!

Core Responsibilities

  • To be the face of the business to help deliver the team’s sales plan and annual gross margin targets via procurement and other services
  • Work with the Sales management team to assist in winning new opportunities through either proposal writing, client meetings, and/or presentations
  • Implement lean processes and procedures to improve the sale lifecycle
  • Forecast sales and growth plans, report weekly/monthly management information
  • Drive new sales opportunities and hit your new business and visit KPIs
  • Generate own leads through networking, prospecting and developing strategic referral relationships

Key Skills and Experience

  • Ideally five years working in the UK energy mid-market space
  • Three+ years in a business development capacity
  • Excellent presentation skills - essential
  • Strong proposal writing skills - essential
  • Ideally an understanding of flexible purchasing/risk management strategies
  • International energy procurement experience - desirable
  • Fluent in at least one other language other than English - desirable
  • Some travel abroad may be required
