Role and Responsibilities
To work with the Client Relationship Manager to support our client in achieving its strategic delivery and income objectives through the delivery of personal and guest services income targets, ensuring client satisfaction to maximise re-booking and referral income, and identifying and developing opportunities for additional income from guests.
Business Development and Retention
Works with colleagues to meet or exceed the organisational and guest services income target & deliver own personal income target by
*Seeking out opportunities within agreed target markets
*Responding to and following up sales enquiries
*Providing timely and accurate cost calculations, quotations and proposals in line with agreed processes
*Providing content and inputs into the marketing and social media activities to support Guest Services
*Identifying and referring any cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to other teams
·Managing new and existing business client relationships
·Delivering excellent customer service & developing sustainable relationships
Skills and Experience
*Proven track record of exceeding target outcomes and increasing sales conversions
*Significant experience of working in direct sales
*Proven experience of excellent customer service
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both face-to-face, over the telephone
*Competence in writing business letters, quotations and proposals
*Able to work unsupervised and proactively: highly motivated and resilient
*Numerate, with the ability to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations etc.
*Ability to prioritise and deliver to agreed deadlines
*Understanding of the principles of marketing and advertising
*Expert user of MS Office 2010 or later, particularly Excel and Word, and ideally Access or similar database to basic level, Internet and email
*Willingness to learn and develop organisational and product knowledge
*Experience of Sales/Client management systems
*Experience of sales specifically within
Education and Qualifications
*Educated to A level standard or equivalent with GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
*TEC HNC/HND in a relevant subject eg, business studies, events management, marketing, public relations etc. or the equivalent practical experience in a direct sales environment
*Educated to graduate level in a relevant discipline
