Client Account Manager


£35 - £50,000 dependent on experience - plus Car allowance or Car, plus extensive benefits

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an amazing global organisation within one of their unique business units

The role is to manage client accounts and promote and negotiate brand sales, contract sales and marketing and training services to Manufacturers within retail pharmacy channel and manage the existing client contracts

This role requires building long term client relationships, responding to their requests and supporting the sales & training teams to deliver against agreed KPIs and ensure sales force service excellence for each agreement. Working autonomously and as part of a team to scope requirements to meet the clients objectives whilst suggesting the most profitable and cost effective method of service delivery; managing the setup of agreed activity and reporting back to the client.

Principle Accountabilities:

To manage and develop the Client commercial team to deliver against financial objectives

To sell profitable contract sales and marketing services to exceed our revenue and trading profit budgets

Day to day Client contact and lead in review meetings, ensure data is reviewed and ready to present

Maximise value of existing contracts /agreements through identification of new opportunities

To support tender responses and meetings to win longer term contracts

Take ownership of delivering progress feedback internally and externally to manufacturers

To gather insight, internal and external data on manufacturers brands to more proactively target manufacturers

Work closely with the Client Sales Manager (Implementation and Delivery) and Central Support teams to ensure contractual KPI are met

Establish relationships with group category teams to identify new service opportunities and develop strong Client relationshipsAccompanied field visits and attendance at team activity Client briefing

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Ability to work collaboratively to build true client partnerships as a service provider

Commercially focussed with experience in Supplier Relations & Account Management

Strong communication and presentation skills

Knowledge of retail Health & Beauty & Medical Ethical categories an advantage but not essential

Knowledge of category management and experience of promotions management / sales drives

The ability to analyse and interpret numerical data, manufacturer presentations or market reports and draw reasoned conclusions

Able to think and act strategically and able to develop and execute business plans

Experience of contract management and terms negotiations working with legal departments

Skilled in the creation and management of cross functional working teams

Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and work to deadlines, must be a quick decision maker

Ability to communicate and present at all levels up & down stream including MDs and Sales Director

Ability to develop long term relationships with strong interpersonal skill

Maintain a customer/client centric approach

Project management skills
