A large social housing organisation based in Ballymena with regional offices across Northern Ireland. This organisation are the largest affordable housing body in Northern Ireland with c.90,000 homes across the country. The organisation require Two Clerk of Works to join them on an ongoing temporary contract basis
Your new role
This role will involve a range of duties including:
Inspection of the organisations housing stock;
In technical, advisory, control and regulatory areas, deciding if the work quality and materials are acceptable and to specification;
Technical, advisory, inspectorial regulatory and investigatory work e.g. physical surveys and inspections (land, buildings quantities) along with the provision of technical advice;
Oversight of contractors including the provision of reports, on all aspects of building engineering and construction work to ensure that all work materials etc. are to the standards required. On certain minor works this may involve full supervision of the work;
To undertake routine maintenance inspections of dwellings and property;
Preparation and drawing of detailed architectural and engineering drawings including calculations from supplied information or from verbal or written instructions either working individually or as a member of a team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you should possess a HNC/HND in a construction related subject with a minimum 1 year experience.
Alternatively you should have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience, ideally working within private/social housing.
What you'll get in return
This position offers an immediate start following successful application for a minimum of 3 months full time work, Monday to Friday 37 hours per week. The pay rate is £9.21 per hour or higher depending on proof of current earnings plus 33 days paid annual leave. All business mileage will be reimbursed.
