Clerk of Works - Client Facing

My client are looking for 2 highly experienced Clerk of Works or a strong Site Manager who could use their skills to embark on a Clerk of Works role to work on multiple residential and mixed use projects in and around London and the South East/Home Counties.

This role is for a brilliant client side organisation who value their staff and offer a brilliant base salary, benefits and also flexible working hours. With the office being based in central London, they will try to accommodate a patch close to where you live, however you must be able to drive/travel.

You'll be working within the development arm rather than the asset management department, you will also be working closely with the Technical Manager.

This Clerk of Works role will include:

  • Assisting in the Quality Control of building projects
  • Ensuring that they appointed contractors complete the work in line with the terms of the construction contract
  • Inspecting the works in progress
  • Carrying out onsite inspections
  • Ensuring the Health and Safety on site at all times

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Proven experience in a similar role - 3yrs+ Clerk of Works experience
  • ICWCI Qualified
  • CSCS Black Card for Site Managers
  • House Building and Refurbishment experience
  • Good understanding of the built environment
  • Experience of the construction industry
  • Experience in identifying defective or incomplete work as the work proceeds & prior to handover
  • Ability to find solutions to issues in a logical and constructive manner in partnership with the design team and contractors
  • Knowledge of modern methods of Construction
  • Knowledge of Current Building Regulations and Good practice construction techniques and systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Salary - £40k-£50k + Travel Expenses & Benefits such as Healthcare, Dentalcare, Pension etc

23 Days Annual Leave & 3 Days at Christmas
