Clerical Officer - Health Records - Emergency Department

An opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Officer. You will provide reception cover for patients and clinical staff within a busy Emergency Department, ensuring accurate and timely registration and documentation of all attendances and emergency admissions. The role also involves dealing with enquiries from other departments, patients and members of the general public. You will maintain patient confidentiality at all times in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act and Caldicott and will be keeping patient records by computerised patient management system (TrakCare), ensuring patient information is accurate and up to date in compliance with the Data Protection Act, to support patient care and facilitate national returns. You will also ensure electronic tracer system is accurately updated when extracting and filing case records and on delivery and collection of scanning folders. You must have 3 O' Grades or Standard Grades with 1 of them being English, or a good general education along with significant office experience and good computer skills.
