Our client is a successful and renowned insurance broker with a hunger for development. They deal with all types of general insurance and are passionate about providing a professional service with a personal touch.

We're looking for an experienced Claims Handler, with commercial experience, to join their busy team of insurance professionals, based full-time in Taunton.

You’ll be highly organised with fantastic diary skills and a passion for customer service and professionalism.

The main duties include:

  • Handling and managing all claims for a portfolio of clients - dealing with incoming reports of claims, providing advice on best practice, ensuring that insurers meet deadlines and that the client is kept up to date
  • Maintaining client records and able to produce client reports as required
    Attending and managing client meetings on claim reports
  • Technical Reference point on claims
    Managing & maintaining the internal claims database

The successful candidate must have:

  • Claims Handler experience within a commercial insurance business
  • Excellent administrative skills and background
  • Knowledge of commercial products and insurance market
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Passion for customer services and professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of FCA, DPA etc.
