Our client, a long established insurance broker has a vacancy in Leeds for a Claims Handler. The role will involve assisting in the presentation, negotiation and settlement of both commercial and personal lines claims which include property, liability, motor and general domestic losses. Taking details of the claim from the client and arranging for the appropriate claim form to be sent. Assisting with the completion of the form where necessary in order for this to be forwarded to the insurer together with supporting documentation. Working to progress the claim, which can involve liaising with insurers, loss adjusters and motor engineers as appropriate. Providing claims history and statistics for renewal negotiations.
You will need to have good communication skills and have previous claims experience gained in a broker or insurance company environment. You will have good team working and computer skills, and you will have excellent opportunities to develop your career within this progressive organisation.
