We are currently looking to expand our Life Claims team within our Exeter office and we are seeking an experienced Claims Assessor to join us.
In this role you will be responsible for assessing and documenting life, critical Illness, unemployment and income protection claims and using your professional and technical experience to determine the validity of the claim. Working closely with our valued customers and their representatives you will review and assess all Medical and supporting evidence to ensure that the correct decision is made. Once this has been completed you will look to authorise approved claims and make payments within specified limits.

You will have previous experience in assessing claims in a target driven, customer focused environment. You’ll be able to use your product and risk assessment knowledge to admit or decline claims as appropriate.
As a claim can be a very stressful time for our customer you will use your excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills to use to ensure the process runs smoothly for them.
If you have any insurance or claims qualifications (such as CII or equivalent) then that would also be seen as advantageous.
You will be contracted at 37.5 hours per week. Your shifts will be 7.5 hours per day between our opening hours of 8.30am - 6.30pm Monday - Friday.
