Civil Design Engineer job working in Norfolk for a Design Contractor on a permanent basis.

In your new job you will be working for a design contractor who have civil, structural & geotechnical teams across the offices. The company are part of a larger web and therefore have a very well established name across East Anglia and London. The Design arm of the company are based in Cambridge, Kings Lynn and Attleborough with this job working in Attleborough. Projects are varied from housing developments to big commercial works such as car dealerships and multi-storey car parks.
Your new role
In your new job you will be a part of the Civil Engineering team which is led by a Principal Civil Engineer. Roles and responsibilities include: producing working designs, reports and specs abiding by regulations for the projects in work, ensuring that project drawings are all accurate and are compliant. Furthermore, you will need to produce design calculations according to regulations and standards, preparation and issue of design reports and undertake site visits to report on the technical validity and feasibility of projects.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application you will need to have 3+ working years experience in Civil Design Engineering, it would be very advantageous if you were to have at least 5 years Design Engineering experience. Also, you will need to be competent in softwares including Civils 3D and MicroDrainage. Educational qualifications are important too, you will need to have a HNC / HND / BEng / BSc in a relevant Civil Engineering course.
