Location: Home office based with 1-3 days per week delivering training courses

Salary: £30-35K depending on experience plus car, phone, laptop etc..

The Company
Our client is a major player in the chromatography market in the UK and as a result of strong growth and investment they are recruiting for a training and technical consultant to join their existing team. This is a UK based role and will involve extensive travel (occasional internationally).


The Position:
The position involves the delivery and design of training courses in Chromatography (mainly HPLC and GC), Mass Spectrometry and related techniques/subjects. You will also work on other consultancy projects to support clients with their analytical chemistry requirements. In addition, you will support the Sales Team in the promotion of training and consultancy services to existing and new customers. Working alongside world class sales and technical teams, this position will be field based and will involve extensive travel and overnight stays, typically 1-2 nights per week.


The Candidate:
Applicants must have a chemistry, biochemistry or closely related degree (or equivalent experience) with 2+ years post-graduate experience in chromatography (industry preferred). Extensive practical experience and a good theoretical knowledge of HPLC (MS) and/or GC (MS) techniques is essential.

The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, self-starting, analytical thinker with excellent communication, team-working and presentation skills. They will enjoy teaching and training scientists on highly technical applications.
