At Selfridges we offer an unrivalled shopping experience and at Christmas, it is no different. As our customers look to prepare for the festive season, and select the perfect gift from our Beauty Hall, it’ll be up to you to ensure Selfridges is the ultimate Christmas destination, and ensure they enjoy an exceptional level of service that sparks their spirit!
We have a number of full and part time roles on a fixed term basis, available starting in mid-November and continuing through until either the end of December or the beginning of January. You will be fully flexible throughout this period and, if required, work on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
If you are successful in your application please be aware we will be holding our Christmas Hiring event toward the end of September/beginning of October.
KNOW THE ROLE
Christmas is an exciting time of the year for everyone, and here in Selfridges we celebrate it like no other retailer. We are looking for Temporary Christmas team members to join us over the festive season to help our customers find the perfect gifts from our Beauty Hall for their friends and loved ones. As a Beauty Gift Wrappers - you will always surprise, amaze and amuse every customer by making each shopping experience unique. If you are the type of person who LOVES wrapping Christmas presents then this role could be perfect for you. If you LOVE beauty products that will be even better!
So you’ll be great with people and will bring the department alive with your outgoing personality, but above all, you'll take enormous pride in delivering the world-class standards that make us the definitive shopping destination.
Please note that these roles are not based on our beauty counters so no beauty experience is necessary.
KNOW WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’ll need proven customer service experience, ideally gained within hospitality, theatre, entertainment, hosting, retail or a similar environment. To work on the beauty department you will be passionate, energetic, curious, commercially aware and highly self-motivated. You will thrive in a busy and festive environment and - If you’re not already armed with specific product knowledge – keen to learn all you can about your area. If you have lots of Christmas enthusiasm plus strong sales, team working and communication skills, you could soon be building your career with one of the world’s most prestigious retailers.
