Good working knowledge of Microsoft software. (Essential)
Ability to deal with sensitive situations and resolve conflict in a professional, diplomatic and sympathetic manner. (Essential)
Knowledge of housing related databases and software. (Desirable)
Experience of working in an allocations/lettings service including knowledge of current legislation and best practice. (Desirable)
JOB PURPOSE: The job-holder will assist in the management and maintenance of the Housing Register, providing advice and assistance to customers in housing need. To accurately assess and process applications for social housing in line with agreed Housing Allocations Policy and procedures and to provide an effective nominations process to other Registered Providers in the Borough. To provide a pro-active service to individual customers requiring one to one support in relation to West Cheshire Homes applications or bidding activity and to answer enquiries relating to West Cheshire Homes/Housing Allocations policy and individual applications from customers, partners and wider stakeholders.
