You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide key oral health messages to young children and their parents/carers and a defined clinical preventive procedure (fluoride varnish application) to young children. This will be undertaken in Primary Care Dental Service settings nursery and primary school environments.
You must be registered with the General Dental Council and hold the National Certificate in Dental Nursing or Oral Health Care Nursing SVQ level 3 or equivalent.
It is a requirement that the post holder has successfully completed the NES accredited Childsmile Dental Nurse (EDDN) training programme - SQA SCQF level 8 with 2 SCQF credit points.
You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both on your own and as part of a team.
Experience working as an EDDN with young children and families will be advantageous for this post.
A car drive/owner is essential
