Social Worker Childrens - Court Service Team - Sandwell Childrens Trust.This is a full time temporary role (37 hours per week) lasting for a minimum of 6 months. This role will involve elements of home and office working.About the role/team:Sandwell Children's Trust are developing a project team to provide a specialist service to children within care proceedings (predominantly public law but may include some private law applications) working closely with Courts to secure safety and wellbeing through the means of permanency. Relationship based practice is used to engage with children and young people and the team will undertake direct work with children, parents and carers through undertaking a variety of assessments including viability, parenting and together and apart assessments.The specialist court and permanency project is seeking applications from experienced child protection practitioners with a clear ability to write comprehensive, evidence based and analytical reports. Specialist Court and Permanency practitioners will be responsible for progressing plans for children subject to proceedings who may either be living in care arrangements or living at home. Your role will include the undertaking of all tasks associated with working with children under statutory frameworks, whilst ensuring compliance with Court direction, providing the Court with child focussed evidence and analysis in order to achieve the best outcomes.In this role, you can expect a capped caseload with a maximum of 20 cases for practitioners within the Specialist Court and Permanency Project.Experience Required: Minimum 2 years post qualifying experience. An experienced frontline practitioner. The ability to write comprehensive, evidence based and analytical reports.Essential Requirements: Eligible to work in the UK.
