Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Manager at a Children's Home in Stockport!

Halcyon is thrilled to partner with a leading provider of children's residential care homes to find a new Registered Manager for a 3-bed home in Stockport. This incredible opportunity allows you to make a significant impact on the lives of young people facing challenges such as anger issues and the need for routine.

We are seeking a special individual to join a dedicated team eager to create a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment for the children in our care. Our home boasts a strong history, with a 'Good’ rating from Ofsted, and a full staff team that operates like a family. While the team is navigating challenges with new children, including supporting their adjustment to routines and managing emotional difficulties, your leadership will make an essential difference.

This organisation operates several homes across the North West and has ambitious expansion plans, fully committed to a blend of independence and the high-level support young people need to evolve into confident adults.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small but effective team to provide the best care for our children.
  • Support long-standing staff through crisis situations and assist in managing behavioral challenges.
  • Foster a family-like atmosphere where children feel safe and valued.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or a willingness to work towards it).
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in children's residential care at a Deputy Manager level.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements.

This role is ideal for a strong Deputy Manager ready to take the next step into a Registered Manager position, or an experienced Registered Manager seeking greater autonomy. We need someone who genuinely cares about making a difference in children's lives—not just someone looking for a job.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £50,000.
  • A £5,000 joining bonus.
  • A 21% performance bonus.
  • Strong support from senior management.
  • A generous holiday allowance.
  • Clear paths for career progression.

If this sounds like the right fit for you, we can’t wait to hear from you! Additionally, if you know someone perfect for this role, there's a £500 bonus available through our 'Refer a Friend' scheme.

Join us in making a positive impact on young lives!
