We are seeking an experienced and qualified registered manager for a children's home in the Stoke on Trent area. A salary of up to £40K is being offered dependent on experience and qualifications
Randstad Care is proud to be supporting a leading independent provider of residential care and education for children and young people where we are looking to recruit a permanent Registered manager for a Children's Residential home in the Stoke on Trent area. The home offers care and support to children and young people who display challenging behaviours, emotional and social difficulties
The main responsibilities of the home manager is
To ensure that the homes policies and procedures are adhered to and resources are managed effectively
Responsible for managing child protection concerns and complaints
To meet the needs of the children and young people by ensuring that care plans are in place and clearly reflect their care , education, emotional, social, cultural and health needs are reviewed on a regular basis
Establishing and monitoring a very high standard of care, working in partnership with parents , carers and other professionals to promote and safeguard the welfare of the young people
Involved in the recruitment and retention of staff , conducting staff supervisions and helping them with their own person development and progression
To ensure that staffing levels meet the needs of the home, budgets are managed and monitored effectively
NVQ4 Residential Care or equivalent and/or Level 5 Management qualification is essential
2 years recent experience working with children in a residential care setting and at least 1 year at a senior level in a children's residential home
Clear knowledge, experience and understanding of Childcare legislation and Safeguarding
Able to manager children and young people who have challenging behaviour and complex needs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Full Uk Driving Licence
