Pulse Community Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a caring support worker to assist our young male client living with a learning disability and a respiratory condition.

The successful support worker will be expected to be able to handle behaviours of concern with a respectable approach and assist with various interventions. As a leading complex care agency, we are proud to offer specialist respiratory training, giving you the chance to acquire the skills required. We are looking for an excellent communicator who is happy to encourage positive behaviours within a social setting.

We have part time shifts working Monday to Sunday with a competitive pay rate of £9.00 to £13.00 per hour.

Due to the nature of the package and shift times a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

As a Children's Female Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

• Personal care
• Tracheostomy management and care
• Managing medication
• Oxygen therapy and oral suctioning
• Respiratory care
• General observations.

The ideal Children's Female Support Worker will have:
• A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
• Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
• A full UK driving licence
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of professional boundaries
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
