Children Support Worker - Golders Green

Pulse Community Healthcare is seeking a skilled support worker in caring for our client with complex needs. Our client is a young female who enjoys spending time with people, watching cartoons and listening to music.

Support workers will be expected to provide personal care, manage clinical interventions, administer medication and support in learning and development. Specialist training will be provided in the areas of respiratory and gastrostomy, allowing you to effectively meet all of the clients care needs.

This role is offering a variety of day and night shifts and is paying a competitive rate of £10.96 per hour.

As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing personal care
  • Managing clinical interventions including tracheostomy and ventilator
  • Medication management
  • Supporting learning and development
  • Assisting with hobbies.

The ideal support worker will have:

  • A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
  • Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of professional boundaries
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
