Children’s Support Worker – Days and Evenings
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Salary: £8.50 - £12.75 per hour
Our client are currently recruiting an experienced female Healthcare Assistant to provide support to a lovely little girl who has epilepsy and cerebral palsy.
Their young client lives in the Daventry area and they provide her with a full-time package of care that is mostly centred around supporting her in the community and sharing the activities she enjoys, helping her live life to the full. There is an element of personal care and supporting with the administration of medication, but this is mainly a supportive role.
The hours of this care package vary between term time and school holidays, but they can offer both full and part time shift patterns.
During school term time they support Monday to Friday in the morning from 7am to 11am and in the afternoon from 3pm to 7:30pm. They also support on a Saturday from 8am to 4pm.
During the school holidays they provide care from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm and 10am to 8pm on a Saturday.
This little girl enjoys activities like messy play and swimming so ideally they would like to find someone who can get involved and support her interests and hobbies. They also require you to have experience working with children within a care setting, ideally with exposure to epilepsy management.
Essential skills of the Children’s Support Worker:
- Previous experience working in a care environment
- Female due to personal care reasons
Desired skills of the Children’s Support Worker:
- Our client has epilepsy and cerebral palsy. It would be great if you have a knowledge and awareness of these conditions.
- Ideally, you will have experience of working with children in a care setting.
