Children's Community Nurse

Do you have a passion for community nursing and are looking to develop your knowledge and skills in this field. If so we currently have a band 5 vacancy within our Community Children's Nursing Team in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB).

This team of qualified children's nurses and health care support workers provide nursing support to children with complex health needs across CTMUHB. This care is mainly provided in the child's home, but you may also be required to provide care in a school setting.

The Community Children's Nursing Team also supports the acute service, which allows for discharge planning. They accept a number of referrals to prevent unnecessary admission to hospital and also provide a variety of clinics supporting outpatient services.

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and reliable individual who has a desire to care for children in the community setting. Within this role you will be responsible for a caseload of patients in addition to providing on-going support and training for healthcare support workers engaged in the delivery of continuing care.

The team works collaboratively with other agencies so excellent communication skills are required.

Comprehensive induction and on-going training will be provided, so therefore we will consider applications from Learning Disability Nurses.

This post is shift work and includes nights.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Closing date: 17th September 2020
