THE ROLE:
Handling a personal caseload of care proceedings from initial instruction to final hearings.
Providing guidance on special guardianship applications and other public law children matters.
Conducting advocacy and representing clients in court.
Delivering clear, compassionate and practical advice to vulnerable clients.
Contributing to departmental business development and promoting best practice.
THE CANDIDATE:
Minimum of 2 years’ PQE as a Childcare Solicitor.
Law Society Children Panel Accreditation required, with a caseload focus on Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
Proven experience in public children law, managing a diverse caseload.
Exceptional communication and client care skills, remaining calm, empathetic and professional under pressure.
Ability to provide complex legal advice clearly and confidently.
