A fantastic opportunity is available with one of Cardiff's leading law firms.
The role is within my client's successful care and adoption team which provides specialist support to local authority children's services departments. The team acts under contract for local authorities throughout Wales and the South West of England.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a team which is made up of a number of highly successful individuals including Children Panel accredited solicitors.
The team conduct Children Act or Adoption and Children Act proceedings from pre-proceedings stage through to final hearing undertaking all advice, case preparation and advocacy throughout.
They now need a qualified solicitor to join the team and have responsibility for your own caseload with minimal supervision as well as assisting others on cases, either undertaking delegated tasks on a file or taking over conduct of aspects of the case preparation.
This role will involve acting for the local authority or guardian but occasionally will involve parent instructions.
The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in both case preparation and advocacy (included contested hearings) before family proceedings and county courts.
This position is suitable for an experienced solicitor who is used to working in a fast paced environment. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
