QED Legal are recruiting for a renowned Legal 500 listed National law firm who are keen to appoint a Childcare Solicitor to be based in Cardiff.
The firm offers the full spectrum of legal services within the commercial, public, health, education and insurance sectors and has a headcount nearing 500 people with offices based throughout the country. Many of its lawyers are highly ranked in both Chambers and the Legal 500 and the firm acts for some notable clients on matters that often receive public attention.
As a consequence of expansion, the firms' Childcare and Adoption Team is looking to grow with the hire of a Solicitor who has gained Childcare experience and advocacy skills.
You will have responsibility for your own caseload with minimal supervision as well as assisting others on cases, either undertaking delegated tasks on a file or taking over conduct of aspects of the case preparation. Typically, this role will involve acting for the local authority or guardian but occasionally will involve parent instructions.
The role will include both case preparation and advocacy (included contested hearings) before family proceedings and county courts.
