We are passionate about delivering the very best quality childcare and want our children to learn, play and explore indoors and out and have lots of fun.
We are looking for full-time nursery/childcare practitioners with qualifications or childcare experience to:
Complete observations on your Key Children and plan appropriate next steps.
Follow the Key Person Procedure.
Provide stimulating activities that extend the children’s learning and meets the needs of all children by being inclusive to all, both indoors and outdoors.
Complete training as directed by the childcare manager and keep up to date with changes in childcare, policies and practice.
Be responsible for self-development.
Work as part of the staff team to ensure a consistent approach throughout the project.
Plan the children's activities weekly, indoors and outdoors, with the aim to provide them with the best possible learning and development activities and engagement (keeping within our restraints).
Ensuring that all learning journals are of a high standard and kept up to date continuously.
Attend staff and area meetings.
Regularly ensure the health and safety of all the children and report and hazards immediately.
Use reflection tools such as well-being and involvement scales to improve the care we offer and make room changes as necessary.
Parents & Other:
Ensure that all of your areas are clean, inviting and stimulating for the children.
Build up relationships with all parents and your Key Children's families.
Write reports and build up relationships with other professionals and outside agencies to support a child as needed.
You will be keen for self-development.
You will understand budgets and the need to be sustainable.
You will have a basic understanding of IT.
You will have a 'can do' attitude and really promote St Georges at all times remembering that you are an ambassador both inside and out.
You will take part in Fundraising activities as they arise and use these events to build stronger relationships with your team, children and their parents.
