Service Care Legal are currently recruiting for a local authority based in Leicestershire, who are seeking a Childcare Lawyer to join a busy legal department. Please find below further details regarding this position.

ROLE:Childcare Lawyer
LOCATION:Leicestershire
RATE:£35 - £45ph
CONTRACT: 3 months ongoing - 37 hours per week

Please note that this role is working from home for the foreseeable future.

The Role

*To develop full caseloads of Childcare law matters through to completion
*Providing advice on Childcare duty matters and on any private law matters that involve the Local Authority
*To undertake a level of advocacy to include case management hearings in respect of your own cases
*To provide general legal advice across the council

The Person

*A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with at least 2 years' PQE
*At least 2 years' worth of Children's / Family law matters is essential
*It is also a requirement to have previously worked within a local authority, and a strong understanding of public cases
*Someone who has strong time management and communication skills
