Safehands Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker within Telford to cover assignments with young individuals on the autistic spectrum. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about promoting independence, delivering some personal care, organising and participating in appropriate activities for service users, domestic duties including laundry, cooking and shopping, assisting service users to appointments and activities and promoting independence at all times.

Listed below are some of the requirements we are looking for:

  • Supporting someone with their Communication
  • Ability to work under pressure in challenging circumstances
  • A natural respect for the dignity and individuality of the residents
  • Accompanying someone to Appointments or Services
  • Supporting someone in Employment
  • Assessing the Care and Support someone needs and putting together Care Plan or Package
  • Supporting someone with Social Activities
  • Helping with Personal Care

All applicants must also hold the following:

  • Right to work within the UK
  • Five years referencing history
  • 10 years’ employment history
  • Preferably 6 months’ care experience
