Child care solicitor & children's panel member required in Bath, Somerset.
This reputed client have an established family team and advise on all aspects of family law including childcare matters. Their child care department is made up of 4 employees including admin support. Due to expansion they are now seeking an additional childcare solicitor to join the busy team.
Ideally you will already be a child care solicitor and Children's Panel Member, and enjoy being largely self sufficient. Alternatively, solicitors with at least 3 years experience within children's law are also encouraged to apply. In an ideal world you will be on the children panel, but those who are part way through their application/portfolio should also apply.
You will already have excellent experience of public law proceedings, mainly representing children directly or more likely through their guardians. Candidates who enjoy conducting their own advocacy are encouraged to apply.
Ideally you should have private practice experience.
Many of your cases will be based in the Bristol area, and as such this role may suit a Children's Panel Member already working in this location. Those wishing to relocate to Bristol/Bath area are also encouraged to apply.
This vacancy may well suit a children's panel member/solicitor currently working in a larger firm, but looking for a more independent working life. Although joining an established team, this team is small, and you will get a fair exposure to complex work from day one.
