You must be a first level registered nurse, AHP, Social Worker or child trained Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology (CAAP), providing specialist psychological therapies service to children, young people, their families and carers with mental health problems referred to secondary or specialist mental health services. The post holder is responsible for, and has a high level of autonomy in the assessment, formulation, prescribing and delivery of psychological therapies treatment and care to children, young people, their families and carers on a defined case load, with decision making responsibility for evaluation and discharge from treatment or referral on to other agencies. You work as a member of the multidisciplinary team and have a responsibility to provide clinical supervision to other qualified practitioners and practitioners in training. You also have a responsibility for training and education of others and actively planning and participating in research within the clinical service. On occasion the post holder will be expected to carry out delegated tasks of the senior clinician providing local coordination in their absence.
