PERMANENT

Do you have the skills, personality and commitment to join a small team serving some of Scotland’s most beautiful and remote areas?

You will lead and manage a small team based in Oban and covering the Argyll & Bute area. You will have responsibility for managing and participating in the servicing and maintenance of a wide range of medical equipment throughout the area.

Whether it’s providing telephone support and advice, arranging emergency visits at short notice or scheduling planned maintenance programmes, you’ll form strong professional bonds with staff in some 13 hospitals and 30 medical centres.

The level of care that they provide is highly dependent on the technical services and remote support that you give to them. Your knowledge of medical equipment will be matched by your logistical skills helping the team to provide a reliable, professional and friendly service essential to health provision in the area.

Applicants should have a degree in electronics engineering or other appropriate discipline.

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Argyll & Bute to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

Previous experience of repairing and maintaining medical equipment is essential and experience of managing a team would be an advantage. A working knowledge of databases, Word and Excel is required to carry out this role.
