Chief IT Operations Officer - 6 month contract - Edinburgh

Our public sector client based in Edinburgh has an exciting opportunity for a skilled IT Operations professional with previous expereince of operating at a senior level across a range of IT disciplines. You will be reporting directly to Director of IT and responsible for delivering enterprise-wide operational services, embedding solutions to deliver sustainable and effective services across the business and managing existing operational services.


  • In-depth experience of technology including applications, infrastructure, networks, perimeter security devices, monitoring systems, operating systems, and threat detection.
  • Extensive experience of service delivery and service management within an ITIL framework and with experience leading IT related incidents and root cause analysis.
  • Experience of IT governance, finance and risk management within a corporate environment including experience in the analysis of situations, making judgements on the information available, balancing risk against desired outcomes
  • Substantial understanding of security compliance frameworks, e.g. PSN Co Co, CESG and Cyber Essentials

The ideal candidate will have previous expereince of working with government or the public sector. Please be advised this role falls Inside of IR35 Legislation.
