We are seeking a talented, self-driven and seasoned professional to join our ranks and assume the roles and responsibilities of Chief Financial Officer.

Salary package: £65,000+

Location: London

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") will report to the CEO and shoulder a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will oversee operational responsibility for developing and managing a fully functional financial planning and analysis team.

As head of the company’s finance and accounting team the CFO will implement financial policies and protocols, while collaborating cross departmentally to fast-track company initiatives. This will include but is not limited to accounting/finance functions, forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, ad-hoc analysis, deal structuring/negotiations, managing current and prospective investor relations, partnership compliance and funding requirements.

The position will also include a business development role involving the management of investor relationships in the MENA region with a view to expansion there in the near future. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

  1. Preparing and maintaining concise and precise periodic reports and presentations to executive management and the Board of Directors.

  2. Analyzing and interpreting budget implications on the company

  3. Managing the company’s treasury functions and instituting best practices to meet short and long term financial obligations

  4. Constructing a holistic financial model that draws on internally generated and externally sourced data to produce a hybrid forecast of the company’s performance, liquidity, solvency and activity

  5. Leading the company’s financial planning and analysis team and developing finance/accounting policies and protocols

  6. Screening new hires, developing and executing a plan to scale human capital growth

  7. Leading the development of best practices in corporate governance and codes of conduct throughout the company

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates applying for this position will be evaluated based on their adequacy and competency in meeting the qualifications below.

  • Ability to translate knowledge of financial systems and analysis into meaningful internal and external reports/memos

  • Deep rooted technical understanding of financial/accounting standards, principles, practices/procedures, regulations and corporate governance

  • Experience in streamlining financial and business analytics

  • Create and foster a culture of interest, curiosity, and learning

  • Interpret and use financial data to make informed business decisions

  • Remain current in their area of expertise and serve as a resource in that area for the organization

  • Plan, organize, and actively manage meetings for maximum productivity

  • Use written language to convey both substance and intent with accuracy

  • High level of English proficiency (both oral and written)

  • High level of Arabic proficiency (both written and oral), and sufficient to undertake business development activities, and engage with both prospective and existing investors, in the MENA region, with a view to expansion there in the near future

  • Punctual and considerate of others

Professional and Academic requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area

  • Candidate must be a CFA charterholder

  • MBA, Master’s degree, ACCA, CMA, CPA highly desirable.

  • Extensive experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in proptech/real estate asset management
